Police: Five juveniles arrested for role in attempted strong armed robbery on city's north side

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police arrested five juvenile suspects for their role in an attempted strong armed robbery on Milwaukee’s north side.

According to police, a 16-year-old male was on a skateboard in the 3800 block of W. Burleigh Street around 9:30 p.m. on June 16 when five suspects approached him from behind, knocked him to the ground and demanded his cell phone. The victim refused and the suspects fled on foot without getting anything.

Responding officers from District Seven located the suspects a short time later in the area of N. 42nd Street and W. Bonny Place and took them into custody. The suspects are two 12-year-old males, one 14-year-old male, and two 15-year-old males, all from Milwaukee.

MPD will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
