UWM Concert Chorale to perform with The Rolling Stones: “This is an amazing opportunity for our students"

MILWAUKEE -- Members of the UW-Milwaukee Concert Chorale will perform with The Rolling Stones when the band makes its appearance at the Marcus Amphitheater next Tuesday, June 23rd, the Milwaukee Business Journal reports.

On recent tours, the Stones have been selecting local choirs to perform on stage during the song, "You Can't Always Get What You Want." An announcement from UWM did not indicate what song or songs the UWM students may perform.

“This is an amazing opportunity for our students,” said Zack Durlam, director of choral activities at UWM. “Not only do they get to perform with world-famous legends of rock music, they also get to briefly experience the inner workings of the music business.”

The UWM Concert Chorale is the most select of five choral ensembles directed at UWM and features top-performing male and female vocalists.

The Rolling Stones performance, part of the band's 15-city Zip Code tour, will be Tuesday before the June 24th launch of Summerfest this year.
