Police seek suspect responsible for armed robbery at Dollar Tree in Racine

RACINE -- Racine police are looking for 22-year-old Dominique Bryant in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday, July 15th at a Dollar Tree store located on Erie Street in Racine.

Officers responded to the Dollar Tree store shortly before 9:00 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that he was working in the rear storage area of the store when he was approached by the black male suspect. The suspect asked for a cigarette then presented a dark-colored revolver and demanded money. The victim provided the suspect with money from his wallet. The suspect then fled the the storage area through the rear of the store.

The victim told the officers that the suspect was familiar to him because he had approached him about three weeks ago at the Dollar Tree requesting information about employment opportunities.

Investigators have identified a suspect in the robbery, and are looking for Dominique  Bryant. Bryant is also is wanted for questioning by Kenosha police in reference to a shooting incident in their jurisdiction. Bryant is believed to be armed with a small caliber revolver, and may be in the Racine / Kenosha area.
