Police: Man carjacked in Caledonia after picking up suspect who wanted a ride to Racine

CALEDONIA -- Caledonia police are seeking the suspect responsible for a carjacking that occurred on Tuesday evening, July 21st.

It happened shortly before 7:00 p.m. -- just north of Caddy Lane at the Root River Bridge in Caledonia.

Police say a 34-year-old man was driving a vehicle, headed northbound toward Oak Creek when he picked up a male suspect who was along the side of the road.

The male suspect is believed to be between 16-20 years old, and said he that he wanted a ride to Racine.

After being picked up, the male suspect displayed some sort of object, and was able to take the vehicle from its driver. It is unclear at this point whether it was a weapon that was displayed.

No injuries were reported.
