Henry Aaron Field

MILWAUKEE — UW-Milwaukee’s home baseball field is getting a major upgrade.

The private UWM Real Estate Foundation is providing over $200,000 for the project at Henry Aaron Field in Lincoln Park.

The project is scheduled to begin in August, and will include installing synthetic turf in the infield and bullpen areas.

The Milwaukee County Parks Department says the project will allow faster recovery of the field after rain and, due to the removal of natural grass, reduce the need for watering and applying pesticides and fertilizer at Aaron Field.
