Grab a beer in the park! Traveling Beer Garden to stop at Brown Deer Park, Holler Park

MILWAUKEE COUNTY -- Grab a beer in a Milwaukee County Park this week! The “Traveling Beer Garden” will stop Wednesday, July 29 at Brown Deer Park and Holler Park.

The Traveling Beer Garden is sponsored by Milwaukee County Parks, in partnership with Sprecher Brewing Company.

At 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Milwaukee County Parks Director John Dargle Jr. will take part in a ceremonial keg tapping at Brown Deer Park.

Free Sprecher beer and root beer will be offered while supplies last.

Live music by Dobie the Concertina Man will be offered from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Brown Deer Park. Live music by Vern and the Originals will be offered at Holler Park.

The Traveling Beer Garden will be open until 9:00 p.m.

The Traveling Beer Garden offers fun for the whole family — offering root beer floats and gluten free beer.

Sprecher products will be featured — and 10 on-tap beers will be served in souvenir glass pints and steins and souvenir plastic boots — with refills offered at reduced prices.

The souvenir cups can be reused at any of the Traveling Beer Garden stops.

Other Sprecher beverages to be served include hard root beer, hard ginger ale, sodas, root beer floats, and flights of five beer samples.

Snacks will also be available.

Families are welcome to pack their own picnic lunches or suppers and non-alcoholic beverages.

License restrictions prohibit the carry-in of any alcohol.

Grilling is not allowed at the beer garden site or the immediate surrounding area.
