WAUWATOSA — Wauwatosa police say a woman was arrested after allegedly displaying a firearm during a road rage incident that began near 124th Street and Capitol Drive in Wauwatosa.

Police were first notified about this incident shortly before 7:00 p.m.

Police say there was a dispute regarding how the woman was driving through a parking lot in the area. Someone confronted the woman, and the woman allegedly displayed a handgun — pointing it at the other person.

The woman’s vehicle was located by police near 102nd and Capitol Drive, and a high-risk traffic stop ensued.

The woman was taken into custody, and no injuries were reported.

A handgun was recovered by police. We’re told the handgun had a magazine with rounds in it.

Police say the woman’s son (age 18 or 19) was in the vehicle at the time of his mother’s arrest. However, he was not in the vehicle when the dispute occurred. He was released from the scene.

We’re told charges will be forwarded to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in connection with this incident if it is deemed necessary.

If the woman was confronted in a threatning manner she can display a gun. It is not illegal to warn people to back off. It appears she used the minimum amount of force to diffuse the situation & thats state law.

You have no clue what really transpired here just the garbage story printed on the website. I’m quite sure the police sorted it all out and made a determination that probable cause existed to take this woman into custody as she threatened someone with her gun. You really shouldn’t make stupid comments here…..
