Wisconsin Building Commission approves $10 million for BMO Harris Bradley Center repairs

MILWAUKEE -- There's been a lot of recent talk about funding for a new Milwaukee Bucks arena in downtown Milwaukee -- with Governor Scott Walker signing the arena financing bill on Wednesday, August 12th. But the state is also helping with upgrades for the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

The BMO Harris Bradley Center will get $10 million in maintenance and repair work under borrowing approved by the Wisconsin Building Commission.

The money is expected to keep the Bradley Center up and running for the next few years.

The BMO Harris Bradley Center will be demolished when the new Bucks arena is completed by the end of 2017.

Projects include improvements to safety and security systems, along with mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.
