Watertown police: 28-year-old man admits to burglary at Garden Path Florist

WATERTOWN -- Watertown police say a 28-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with a burglary that occurred at the end of August.

It happened on the morning of August 27th, shortly before 9:00 a.m. at Garden Path Florist -- located at 725 W. Main Street in Watertown.

Officers and detectives responded to the scene and collected evidence.

Shortly after 4:00 p.m., officers and investigators were able to identify a suspect and collect more evidence in regard to the investigation.

On Tuesday, September 1st, a Watertown detective interviewed the suspect, who admitted to the burglary.

The suspect is in custody on an unrelated probation and parole hold.

The Watertown Police Department will be referring charges related to the burglary to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.

This case continues to be active and followed up on by the Watertown Police Department which is requesting any information or assistance citizens may be able to provide regarding this crime.
