Police called out to scene of two separate shooting incidents within 15-minute period

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police were on the scene of two separate shooting incidents on Sunday evening, September 6th.

The first occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of N. 26th Street (near 26th and Atkinson).

Police say a 27-year-old man was shot and injured. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators believe there was an altercation in the area, and known suspects were called to the scene.

Once on scene, police say the suspects began shooting.

Police are now seeking these known suspects.

The second incident occurred 15 minutes later, near 9th and Concordia.

Police say a 34-year-old man is in stable condition at the hospital following this shooting. Investigators later determine this shooting was self-inflicted.
