25-year-old man dies after shooting near 11th and Atkinson; city's 107th homicide

MILWAUKEE -- Police say a 25-year-old man has died following a shooting Wednesday evening, September 9th near 11th and Atkinson. The victim has been identified as Marqui Hogan.

It happened around 4:00 p.m.

Police say after exiting a business in the area, Hogan was approached by a subject who had pulled up in a vehicle -- and a fight ensued.

During this fight, Hogan was shot.

Police say the subject then re-entered the vehicle and fled the scene.

Hogan died at the hospital.

The motive for the shooting is unknown and remains under investigation.

This is Milwaukee's 107th homicide this year.
