As support in polls continue to fall, Scott Walker hopes to rally in Iowa

IOWA -- Governor Scott Walker continues his presidential campaign in Iowa this weekend, September 11-13th.

Saturday, the Republican presidential hopeful attended a tailgate party at the Iowa State football game. It's one of several stops Walker will make this weekend as he tries to drum up support.

Walker is currently polling at only 3%. He is trailing behind a pair of non-politicians, including front runner Donald Trump and neurosurgeon, Doctor Ben Carson.

Governor Walker is one of sixteen remaining Republicans vying for president as Texas Governor Rick Perry dropped out on Friday, September 11th.

"Governor Perry's a good friend, a fellow Eagle Scout, a Harley rider, a governor who's got a great track record, Governor Perry, and certainly it's unfortunate he won't be part of this debate going forward," said Governor Walker.

Walker compared himself to Governor Perry, saying he hopes that people supportive of a "conservative governor with a proven track record" will vote for him.

Perry also ran for president in 2012, failing to get past the Republican primaries.

Walker will be in Independence, Iowa on Sunday -- it will be the 30th county in the state he will have visited.
