Franklin police: $350 reward offered for information on Kayla's Playground vandalism

FRANKLIN -- While authorities search for suspects involved in a Franklin park vandalism incident that occurred on September 6th, an anonymous citizen has stepped forward to offer a $350 reward to the person who can provide more information.

Just days after breaking ground on a new playground in Franklin, vandals caused damage to toilets, sinks and a spot light at Franklin Woods Park. Authorities discovered the damage on Sunday, September 6th.

Kayla's Playground was inspired by Kayla Runte -- a bright-eyed, young girl with cerebral palsy. She passed away in 2012. Her classmates at Ben Franklin Elementary spent hours coming up with the park's design to honor her memory.
