MILWAUKEE -- According to multiple reports, the Milwaukee Brewers have hired a new general manager -- 30-year-old David Stearns, current Houston Astros' assistant GM, will be named as early as Monday, September 21st.

Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal was the first to report the news on Sunday.

According to houston.astros.mlb.com, Stearns is a 2007 Harvard graduate. The 2015 season marks Stearns third year with the Astros. Prior to the Astros, Stearns was the Director of Baseball Operations for the Cleveland Indians from 2011-2012. He spent time working in the MLB Office of the Commissioner from 2008-2011, as the manager of labor relations.

Before joining the MLB Central Office, Stearns worked in the Baseball Operations for the New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates and the Arizona Fall League.
