Blake Shelton opens up about shocking divorce from Miranda Lambert

NASHVILLE -- Blake Shelton is finally opening up about his shocking divorce from ex-wife Miranda Lambert.

The country superstars announced their split in July 2015.

"In Oklahoma, it happens so fast," Shelton said Wednesday on the Bobby Bones Show. "Like, Miranda and I didn't have any kids, and we had a pre-nuptial agreement, whatever we had. Once we filed for divorce, it was over in, like, I think it was like a nine or ten-day waiting period until it's over."

Rumors immediately began circulating that Miranda was unfaithful.

"We knew if rumblings and rumors started coming out, they would just be that, because by the time anybody knew anything it was over. It was done," Shelton said.

Days after their divorce was finalized, the couple surprised everyone by engaging in a playful conversation on Twitter.

"Our whole thing was, we are going to be cool about this, it is what it is," Shelton told the Bobby Bones Show.

Even though the former couple is not longer together, Shelton says they have remained friends.

"We're buddies," he said.
