Filmmaker Daphne McWilliams had a screening for her work on Saturday.

"I was pleasantly surprised to see a nice packed audience. I got lots of hugs and handshakes and photo-ops with people who got to see the film. I've been getting mostly thank-yous, and no hate mail -- so, so far so good," said McWilliams.

Through sponsorship, the festival continues to engage with the city by providing entertainment and education. This year, the festival raised a combined $2.4 million in cash, goods, and services including 26 new sponsors that include KOSS, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Milwaukee Public Library, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the NAACP - Milwaukee Branch, Badger Liquor, and more.
