Charged with felony murder: Two accused of fatally stabbing Milwaukee man

MILWAUKEE -- Two people have been criminally charged in connection with the death of 52-year-old Juan Teutor. Teutor was stabbed to death in his home -- an apartment inside a building near 22nd and Wisconsin -- near the Marquette University campus. It happened on Tuesday evening, September 22nd.

Evelyn Ramos

The accused are 40-year-old Evelyn Ramos and 20-year-old Hector Rodriguez -- both of Milwaukee. They each face one count of felony murder in this case.

Police were called out to the apartment around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday -- and they say Teutor died at the scene.

A criminal complaint filed in this case says Teutor was found laying on a bedroom floor in his home. When officers found Teutor, the complaint indicates he was gasping for breath, but the gasping breaths stopped, and officers found no pulse. The officers began CPR, which was taken over by MFD officials when they arrived on scene, but those life-saving measures were ultimately unsuccessful.

An autopsy was performed by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office, and the medical examiner found Teutor suffered four stab wounds. Teutor's death was ruled a homicide.

Hector Rodriguez

During their investigation into this homicide, officials became aware of a 911 call placed by a "Hector," who had dialed 911 and stated that his mother, Evelyn Ramos, had told him that she had stabbed somebody and killed them.

The criminal complaint indicates Ramos and Rodriguez may have acted in the wake of alleged sexual assaults committed by Teutor -- and that Teutor had admitted to these assaults.

At one point, Hector Rodriguez told officials Ramos smacked Teutor across the face, and Hector Rodriguez then struck Teutor twice in the face. Then, Ramos produced a small knife and stabbed Teutor, according to Hector Rodriguez's statement to officials. The knife was recovered by police.

Juan Jose Teutor

If convicted of the felony murder charge filed against them, Evelyn Ramos and Hector Rodriguez could each face up to 15 years and nine months in prison.

They are set to appear in court on October 6th for their preliminary hearings.
