Did the Wisconsin DNR count concrete deer by mistake? Nope, it's a hoax

MADISON -- If you get a letter from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) that says you need to remove any concrete deer from your yard, ignore it.

The DNR posted on Facebook on Tuesday, September 29th indicating that several people have received notices like the one below. The letter indicates concrete deer may have been counted over the past two years by mistake.

DNR officials say in the Facebook post that the letter is a fake. They say, "It was not crafted, nor distributed by DNR. DNR is not asking the public to remove concrete deer ornaments or any other lawn ornaments from their yard."
