RACINE -- The Racine Police Department invites the public to a sex offender notification meeting on Wednesday, October 14th at 6:00 p.m. at the Richard V. Polzin COP House, located at 1900 16th Street.

This meeting is in regard to Vaughn Hansen who will be residing in the 1400 block of Washington Avenue. Representatives of the Racine Police Department and Wisconsin Department of Corrections will be present to provide more information.

This meeting is informational only and is not a forum for public comment. Adult subject matter will be discussed at this meeting and we ask that only adults attend.

Officials are releasing the information to enhance public safety, awareness and protection. Hansen has been convicted of sex offenses and
his criminal history places him in a classification level which reflects the potential to re-offend. He is not wanted by the police at this time.

Hansen will be released to the community on or before October 14, 2015. He was convicted in 1990 for three counts of 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child. In 1990 Hansen was convicted of sexually assaulting three minors, all under 8 years of age.  Hansen will be placed on supervised release. He is required to wear a Global Positioning System bracelet and he is a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program.
