Knife, hammer, BB gun recovered and four in custody after fatal fight in Baraboo

BARABOO — Authorities say four people are in custody following a fatal fight in Baraboo.

Investigators say an altercation began in a Baraboo tavern early Sunday morning, October 4th and the fight between two groups of people continued outside at a nearby intersection.

Thirty-six-year-old Anthony Inman, of North Freedom, was fatally stabbed and died at the scene. Police say 32-year-old Anthony Preston, of Mauston, was severely beaten, taken to a Baraboo hospital and later transferred to University Hospital in Madison. His condition hasn't been disclosed.

The State Journal reports a knife was recovered at the scene, as well as a hammer and a BB gun. Three men and a woman are in custody.
