Shoppers at Brookfield Square have a new option to satisfy their sweet and salty cravings

BROOKFIELD -- Shoppers at Brookfield Square will have a new option to satisfy their sweet and salty cravings as St. Francis-based Buddy Squirrel officially opens at Brookfield Square.

According to their website, the grand opening festivities will commence at the store, located next to Sears, Tuesday, October 6th, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Customers will be greeted by the “Buddy Squirrel” mascot, and the first 500, who spend $10 or more, will receive a sample product bag.

With three other retail locations in the Milwaukee area, this 1,700 square-foot store will staff six full and part-time employees. According to Kerndt, Quality Candy/Buddy Squirrel had a store in Brookfield Square from approximately 1980 to 2009.

In 2016, Buddy Squirrel celebrates 100 years of creating its traditional lines of gourmet popcorns, quality chocolates, and premium nuts. “This is a major milestone for Buddy Squirrel, and we’re planning several online and at-store customer activities and promotions throughout the year.”
