Kenosha Unified officials investigate text indicating "bomb threat by ISIS" will close schools

KENOSHA -- A message posted to Facebook late Wednesday, October 7th by the Kenosha Unified School District indicates an investigation is underway after a threat began circulating Wednesday, October 7th.

According to the Facebook post, an "inappropriate ISIS text regarding the closing of schools began circulating."

School officials say a text is being passed among students that states: "Schools will be closing Oct. 8 due to a bomb threat by ISIS. Here's a list of all schools closed (link)." According to school district officials, the link provided doesn't list schools, but instead, it opens a pornographic photo of an adult male.

School officials say this is believed to be a hoax -- and school WILL be in session as usual on Thursday, October 8th.
