Team effort: Emergency crews help to get wayward buck out of Kaukauna canal

KAUKAUNA — It was definitely a team effort in the City of Kaukauna on Monday morning, October 12th.

Kaukauna Police, Kaukauna Fire, Kaukauna Utilities and Wisconsin DNR assisted “Joe Buck” getting out of the canal after his lengthy morning swim. He was able to safely make his way back to the woods.

    Just a word here. I was fishing lake Michigan north of Port Washington A few years back. 1.5 miles off shore. just at daybreak I almost ran over a deer swimming east. I pulled lines & herded her back to shore. My only time without camera on board. They actually can swim fast.
