Assembly committee to vote next week on bill that would legalize blaze pink hunting gear

MADISON — A legislative committee is set to vote next week on a bill that would legalize blaze pink hunting gear.

Under current Wisconsin law, at least half of each article of clothing that gun deer hunters wear above the waist must be blaze orange. The bipartisan bill would allow hunters to wear fluorescent pink as well.

The Assembly's natural resources committee has scheduled a vote on the bill for Oct. 28. Passage would clear the way for a vote in the full chamber.
