NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. -- A North Charleston woman fights back by biting off her attacker's tongue to get away. Now, the 16-year-old suspect will be charged as an adult.

Police say Antoine Miller faces five charges, including criminal sexual conduct, assault and burglary, WCBD reports.

On the morning of Friday October 9th, a woman who lives on Sumner Avenue hear knocking on her door. When she answered, no one was there. The knocking happened two more times. The third time, the victim saw Antoine Miller standing in her yard with a 13-inch serrated knife.

Police say Miller pushed his way into the victim's home, locked the dead bolt and started punching.

Police reports say Miller then carried the woman over his shoulder to her bedroom and sexually assaulted her.

The woman was finally able to escape after she bit down on Miller's tongue until she heard it snap. She fled to a gas station -- where she called police.

The victim is 33 years old, and according to the incident report, the victim and suspect do not know each other.

According to court documents, Miller admitted to the offenses. A judge denied his bond and he is currently in jail.
