MILWAUKEE -- "Because your money matters." That's the driving spirit behind FOX6's Contact 6. So far this year the team has saved viewers $131,231.84.
Only a handful of cases make it to TV every year, but there are tons of success stories.
Here are a few of the highlights:
Contact 6 helped Christine when she had a problem with a landscaper. Christine paid up front, and the job was never finished.
Contact 6 got involved, and Christine called back with some good news.
"I just wanted to say thanks so much for all you did on your end to help us out and thank you. You really made a difference and helped do the right thing on our refund," Christine told Contact 6. "It was in the amount of $3,800 -- so we are just thrilled," she said.
Earlier this year, Contact 6 gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how the team gets results.
When someone has a problem and files a complaint at FOX6NOW.com, it goes right to Val.
She then sends a complaint with a cover letter from Contact 6 to the company, and asks for a response in two weeks.
Sometimes that's all it takes!
Take for example, Michael's case: His father is a World War II veteran, and was told a stay at the veteran's hospital would be covered by insurance.
When the insurance company said "no," Contact 6 helped them get their money.
"Cash value was $1,688 and on behalf of me and my father, we definitely appreciate the help. Definitely do. Thank you very much," Michael told Contact 6.
