Milwaukee Admirals drop 4-2 decision to IceHogs at BMO Harris Bradley Center

MILWAUKEE -- A pair of late third period by Rockford proved to be too much to overcome as the Admirals dropped a 4-2 decision to the IceHogs Saturday night, October 24th at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Milwaukee jumped out to an early 1-0 lead off of Stevie Moses' first goal as an Admiral. The play started with a hard forecheck by Colton Sissons, which created a turnover deep in the Rockford zone. Sisson chipped the puck out front to Pontus Aberg and he sent it along to Moses, who got just enough on the puck to get it over the pads of Hogs goalie Michael Leighton.

However, two second period goals by Rockford gave them the lead. Brandon Mashinter scored the first for the Hogs at 6:42, followed by Tanner Kero, who lit the lamp on a delayed penalty at less than three minutes later.

The Ads battled back and tied it up with a power-play tally by Max Reinhart just over halfway through the final period. Reinhart fired a one-timer over the shoulder of Leighton to knot the score at two on his first Admiral goal.

Unfortunately for Milwaukee an unlucky bounce off the shin of Rockford's Ryan Hartman less than two minutes later led to a breakaway for Marko Dano. Ads netminder Juuse Saros made the initial stop, but Dano jumped on the loose puck for the game-winner with 8:20 to play in the game.

Moses finished the night with a goal and an assist to pace the offense, while Saros stopped 25 of 28 shots in a losing effort.

Milwaukee continues a three-game homestand when they host the Texas Stars on Tuesday night at the BMOHBC in a game that was moved from December 4. Puck drop is set for 7 pm.
