"Milwaukee's Largest Bloody Mary" event raises money for the Hunger Task Force

MILWAUKEE -- There was a big fundraising effort in Milwaukee on Sunday, October 25th to benefit the Hunger Task Force.

Milwaukee's Largest Bloody Mary

The event was called "Milwaukee's Largest Bloody Mary," and it was held at the Great Lakes Distillery.

Attendees could enjoy a Bloody Mary for $5, a grilled cheese for two, and then there were $1 raffle tickets.

The proceeds benefited the Hunger Task Force, which in turn, goes back into the community.

"Families are struggling. There's seniors, people with disabilities living in subsidized housing who don't have adequate food stamp benefits and so together what we do is make sure people are fed, we make sure that people are attending great events and having a lot of fun," Sherri Tussler with the Hunger Task Force said.
