FOND DU LAC COUNTY — Wisconsin State Patrol officials say a 34-year-old Oshkosh man was killed in a crash that occurred on US 45 northbound at Subway Road near North Fond du Lac on Saturday night, October 24th.

It happened shorty before 9:00 p.m.

State Patrol officials say a vehicle was reported to be traveling at a high rate of speed on US 45, just south of Subway Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle, and the vehicle then slid sideways — crashing into a tree.

Officials say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this crash — but speed does.

The State Patrol is handling the investigation into this incident.
