"It's so shocking:" Two men found dead outside Muskego saloon

MUSKEGO -- Two men are found dead outside DeMarini's Lake DeNoon Saloon in Muskego on Friday evening, October 30th. By Friday night, the saloon is back open but the owner is heartbroken.

"One of my employees came running up and said he heard some pops," said Philip DeMarinis, owner.

DeMarinis didn't think it was real at first.

"He says come outside and bring your gun, there was a number of gunshots fired," said DeMarinis.

But around 3:15 p.m. on Friday, DeMarinis made a heartbreaking discovery when he found one of his employees dead with gunshot wounds in the parking lot.

"To see that, people see it in movies, but to stand over one of your own is a very difficult thing," said DeMarinis.

The body of another man, related to an employee, was found feet away.

"We went over by him and we saw he had a gun in his hand," said DeMarinis.

Police were called to the scene to investigate exactly what happened while neighbors gathered nearby.

"It's so shocking, you would not expect something like this to happen, especially in a place so close to home. You just don't think of that happening at all," said Meridith DeBack, neighbor.

"We didn't hear no yelling, no screaming, nothing," said DeMarinis.

DeMarinis' thoughts turn to his distraught staff and the families of the two men.

"They have to live with this, it's not anything anybody wants to go through. We lost a good friend and a family member," said DeMarinis.

Police have not released the names of the two men. DeMarinis says both men were fathers. He is especially saddened by what their children might be going through.
