47-year-old motorcycle driver critically hurt after crash involving vehicle near Miller Park



Crash near Miller Park in West Milwaukee



WEST MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police were called out to the scene of a crash near Miller Park on Monday evening, November 2nd involving a motorcycle and a vehicle -- and the motorcycle's operator is now in critical condition at the hospital.

It happened near the intersection of Miller Park Way and Lincoln Avenue in West Milwaukee shortly before 6:00 p.m.

We're told a 47-year-old man was operating the motorcycle -- headed southbound on Miller Park Way, approaching Lincoln Avenue.

The vehicle was headed northbound on Miller Park Way, and was making a left-hand turn onto Lincoln Avenue when the crash happened.

The driver of the vehicle involved stayed at the scene after the crash. Police say he man failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

The operator of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital, and he was listed in critical condition at last check.

That entire intersection was blocked off as crews worked the scene.
