MILWAUKEE -- Kohl's officials are preparing for the holidays -- and FOX6 News got a sneak peek!

Store associates were busy Wednesday, November 4th hanging green and red holiday decor.

They're also stocking the shelves with things like Star Wars gifts.

This year, Kohl's has a designated "tech shop" for customer favorites like Beats by Dre and the activity tracker FitBit.

Kohl's District Manager Brad Holtzen says this year's shopping experience will be faster and more convenient than ever.

"What we're really excited about in the store is for the first Christmas ever being able to buy online and pick up in the store. Major convince for our customers we're really excited about," Holtzen said.

Kohl's also has an "Elf-on-the-Shelf" adoption center, and an expanded Green Bay Packers section for the whole family.

Kohl's officials haven't yet released hours for Thanksgiving/Black Friday.

Let me tell you, I tried the “convenience” of buy online/pick up at Kohls. It was a terrible experience. They did not think this through before they implemented it. I went in to pick up my item and had to wait in the same line as the returns (Customer Service). Anyone that has ever shopped at Kohls should know that the return line is usually long and slow. I waited for 20 minutes to get to the front of the line, then another 5 minutes for them to retrieve my item. So, in other words, the convenience of buying it quickly online had now become the hassle of waiting forever to pick it up. If they are going to do this, they should have a dedicated line for buy online/pick up in store. Just a suggestion.
