Man accused of trying to solicit young girls on Facebook, possibly to work in adult movies, pleads guilty

WAUSAU — A man accused in Marathon County of trying to solicit young girls on Facebook, purportedly to work in adult movies, has pleaded guilty to criminal charges.

William Babik agreed to enter the plea to child enticement and possession of methamphetamine. Five other charges will be dismissed as part of the agreement.

Court records say the 29-year-old Hancock man had been soliciting teen and preteen girls to work for him. Six girls, ages 12 to 15, told police Babik had contacted them on Facebook.

Daily Herald Media (http://wdhne.ws/1P9NWI0 ) says a mother of one of the children called police who posed as a girl and arranged to meet Babik.
