Police: One man in custody, others sought after armed robbery, shooting and pursuit

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say they've arrested one suspect -- and are seeking others in connection with an armed robbery and shooting that occurred on Tuesday morning, November 10th.

Police say around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, a 66-year-old man was robbed of his cell phone and other belongings at gunpoint near 25th and Wells.

This crime was committed by "several suspects" who were inside a white vehicle.

The suspects then went to the area near 28th and Wells, and a 28-year-old Milwaukee man was shot at that location.

The shooting victim was taken to the hospital, and it is expected he will survive.

MPD officers quickly located the white suspect vehicle, and a pursuit ensued.

Police say several suspects bailed from the vehicle near 35th and Galena, and one of the suspects, a 28-year-old Milwaukee man who was found to have the 66-year-old man's cell phone on him, was taken into custody.

A shotgun was found by officers in the suspect vehicle.

MPD is seeking the other suspects and will present the case against the arrested suspect in the coming days to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
