Teen suspects arrested in strong armed robbery on Milwaukee's south side

MILWAUKEE -- Officers from the Milwaukee Police Department’s District Two and Neighborhood Task Force arrested three teenage suspects for a strong armed robbery on the city south side.

A Neighborhood Task Force sergeant was on patrol near 1st and Orchard just before 9 p.m. on Friday, November 20th when she saw a group of young men punching and kicking a male victim. The suspects fled when the sergeant arrived on scene, but she was quickly able to arrest one of them.

The victim told officers he was riding his bicycle when the group approached him, struck him, and stole several of his belongings.

The other two suspects were taken into custody a short distance later -- one of the suspects had the victim’s belongings. The suspects are all 16-years-old and from Milwaukee.

MPD will soon present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
