Badgers fan ejected during Saturday's game sends police 240 coconut doughnuts

MADISON — University of Wisconsin-Madison police say a California man sent them 20 dozen coconut doughnuts as payback after officers threw him out of a Badger football game Saturday, November 21st.

UW-Madison police spokesman Marc Lovicott says the man traveled from Los Angeles to see the Badgers play Northwestern at Camp Randall Stadium.

He was seated in a section away from his friends and when he tried to enter their section, officers ejected him.

On Monday morning, November 23rd, 240 coconut doughnuts mysteriously appeared at police headquarters. The delivery driver gave officers the man's name and Lovicott began exchanging emails with him.

The man told Lovicott sending coconut doughnuts shows both his gratitude for the police and his disdain for how he was treated, saying doughnuts are awesome but coconut doughnuts aren't.
