"He almost killed me:" Woman says ex-boyfriend who's been stalking her opened fire on her

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee woman tells FOX6 News she has been stalked for more than a year -- and on Tuesday afternoon, November 24th, she was nearly shot by the suspect. Through tears, the woman told FOX6 News she hasn't been able to get away from this guy -- and now, Milwaukee police are looking for him.

Sabrina Marshall

"I just want him away from me. I don't want to be involved -- nothing -- period," Sabrina Marshall said.

Marshall says an ex-boyfriend has been harassing and stalking her since she broke up with him more than a year ago.

"Two nights ago he came ringing my doorbell," Marshall said.

Marshall says she moved several times in an effort to get away from him. She says she has called police. She tried to get an injunction to make him stop. In April, that injunction was not granted. Court records indicate he was not properly served.

"He's been doing this for years -- constantly putting his hands on me, stalking me, harassing me," Marshall said.

On Tuesday, someone let the man inside an apartment building in Milwaukee. Marshall says he waited for her to walk in, and then stood on top of the stairs -- threatening her.

"My plan was to grab my stuff off the railing. Then he punched me in my face, and then he pulled out a gun and started shooting. I didn't see what kind of gun it was. He just started shooting. I took off running out the back door and I fell," Marshall said.

The apartment building was filled with children and other residents.

Marshall is thankful the man missed.

"He almost killed me -- took me away from my kids," Marshall said.

Police say the 39-year-old ex has told them there was an unknown person who struck him with a firearm and fired a shot before running away.

FOX6 News referred Marshall to the Sojourner Family Peace Center -- to help her, as police continue this investigation.
