"I didn’t think they would stop:" Good Samaritan speaks out after teens post video of fight to Facebook

DEL CITY, Oklahoma -- Police in Oklahoma are looking for the teens involved in a fight that went viral on Facebook this weekend.

A young woman pushing a baby in stroller down a city street was attacked.

When another mother stopped to help, she ended up getting attacked as well.

It happened Sunday morning, December 6th -- near 44th and Bryant in Del City, Oklahoma.

Video of the attack was shared more than 50,000 times before being removed from Facebook.

The video shows a group approaching a young woman pushing a baby in a stroller. The person taking the video warns her of what’s about to happen.

“She about to hit it regardless. I really just, I’m trying to look out for your baby, for real. Like, move your baby because I don’t want your baby to get hurt,” he said.

The woman didn't move the baby -- but despite that, the video shows girls hitting, kicking and punching her, and pulling her hair.

Two women driving by noticed what was happening.

“We see in broad daylight a girl and her baby -- and she was getting jumped by four girls and there were some guys there,” the Good Samaritan said.

These two witnesses decided to stop, call police, and honk their car horn.

“I just felt like I had to step in then because they were just stomping that poor girl in the head and I didn’t think they would stop, and I just wanted to get out and beg them,” she said.

Instead of stopping the attack, one of the Good Samaritans became a target -- taking blows to the head before being shoved back to her car.

“Should of minded your own business. (Expletive) ya’ll,” the boy behind the camera is heard yelling in the video.

The group of teens then walked off toward a nearby apartment complex.  But hours later, they posted the video of the attack on Facebook, tagging those involved.

Police say the tagging was key when it came to their investigation into this incident.

“We have the names of everyone we believed is involved, and we are trying to locate them to determine what potential charges could be filed against them in the future,” said Jody Suit, with the Del City Police Department.

As for the Good Samaritan brave enough to try to help….

“I feel lucky. I don’t know if I made the right decision of getting out of my car, but I just felt like it was necessary to try to help that girl as much as I could. I just hope someone would do that for me if I were in that situation,” she said.

The Good Samaritan wasn’t seriously injured. She says she's a little sore and did miss work Monday.

She plans to press charges.

Police say the young woman who was the initial target has not pressed charges at this time.
