Thomson-Reuters names Glendale-based Johnson Controls a top innovator

GLENDALE -- A major multi-national mass media company has named Johnson Controls one of the most innovative firms in the world.

Johnson Controls has made Thomson-Reuters 2015 Top Global Innovators Report.

The Glendale-based company made the list thanks to its successful and influential patents.

Johnson Controls has been working to invest in research and development to be more profitable in its power solutions and building efficiency segments.

Apple, Honda, Sony and GE also made the list.
