Tips from an expert: Manage stress during the holiday season



MILWAUKEE -- The holidays are all about peace and joy. But sometimes, they can be anything but that. Dr. Ahmed Numaan, a psychiatrist with Rogers Memorial Hospital, joined the Studio A team with ways to manage stress during the holiday season.

About Dr. Ahmed Numaan

Ahmed Numaan, MD, is a board-certified adult psychiatrist who is the medical director of adult services at Rogers Memorial Hospital – Brown Deer. Currently, Dr. Numaan joined our medical staff in 2008 as a full-time attending psychiatrist at Rogers' West Allis campus.

Prior to joining Rogers, Dr. Numaan served as medical director of the behavioral health unit at St. Joseph Hospital in West Bend. Dr. Numaan completed his residency and served as chief resident at the University of Kansas Medical Center in the Department of Psychiatry. Before his residency, Dr. Numaan served as a research assistant in the Jules F. Knapp Research Center at the University of Chicago and also as a clinical research associate at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. Numaan is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and previously served as the vice president for the American Association of Emergency Psychiatry, Midwest region.
