500 Black Tuxedos: African-American men step up, dress up to make a difference

MILWAUKEE -- Learning how to be a gentleman. Several community leaders are working to make a difference in the lives of at-risk African-American boys during the 500 Black Tuxedos event.

Hundreds of kids, some of which never grew up with a father figure, had the chance to hang out with a mentor for the day on Saturday, December 12th.

Some of those mentors include UW-Milwaukee Basketball Coach Rob Jeter, and former Bucks star Marcus Landry.

500 Black Tuxedos

"You see so much violence. It's going to take our men to help turn a lot of this violence in the community around," said Carmen Cunningham, Milwaukee.

Everyone got decked out in tuxedos, took photos, and gathered for the traditional "tuxedos walk." Later, they were treated to dinner at Chic Cafe.
