"Independence Day: Resurgence" official trailer hits Earth

In summer 2016 -- exactly 20 years after the release of the initial movie, 20th Century Fox will release the second installment to the mega blockbuster "Independence Day."

"Independence Day 2" -- titled "Independence Day: Resurgence" will star Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullmann.

The release date is June 24, 2016.
