MILWAUKEE -- It's a brand new way to shop for groceries in the Milwaukee area that can save you time and energy. All you have to do is show up to pick up your order -- everything else is digital.

"They are picking the customer order as if they are picking it for their own family," said Mark Birmingham, Sendik's executive director of new business development.

Sendik's is the first grocery store chain in the Milwaukee area to team up with "Freshop." All 40,000 items in the store are available for purchase online. Customers fill their digital cart and then set up an appointment to pick up the order.

"There are designated parking stalls at the Sendik's locations. You can see they are marked by these red signs, and there is a phone number listed. When you arrive to pick up your order, all you need to do is call that phone number. The personal shopper will come out, load up your car and this all happens within three to five minutes," said Birmingham.

"It's very good for senior citizens -- people like me, you know? I have no problem shopping, but I think it is a great alternative to have," said Ellen Noonan.
