Police: No one in custody after armed robbery of Dollar General near Silver Spring & Green Bay

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police on Wednesday night, December 23rd were called out to the scene of an armed robbery at the Dollar General store near Silver Spring Drive and Green Bay Avenue.

It happened around 8:30 p.m.

Police say a single suspect went into the store, displayed a semi-automatic handgun, and stole an undetermined amount of money from the cash register.

No injuries were reported, and no shots were fired.

No one is in custody.

Police describe the suspect as a black male in his 20s -- standing 6' tall and weighing 150 pounds.

The suspect was wearing an Army fatigue-style jacket (green, tan, and brown camouflage) and blue jeans.  He did not wear a mask.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
