Weather wasn't cooperative, but some showed up to give blood in Red Cross' "Day of Donations" drive

GREENDALE -- The weather wasn't too cooperative, with a Winter Storm Warning in effect Monday, December 28th -- but some came out to donate blood and help the American Red Cross.

The fourth annual "Day of Donations" blood drive was held at Southridge Mall in Greendale.

All donors were given a gift bag with items like $20 off an oil change and free movie passes.

Red Cross officials say the goal was to collect 150 pints of blood, and they exceeded that goal -- ending up with 175 pints, which will save the lives of up to 525 patients.
