Head to the lakefront and brace yourself for Milwaukee's annual polar plunge

MILWAUKEE -- It's one of the coldest and some say invigorating traditions you'll find in Milwaukee all year long. We're talking about the polar plunge that takes place at Bradford Beach. Bring your beach towel -- and join the fun starting at noon.

Hundreds will gather on the chilly sand to not just dip their toes in Lake Michigan, but to fully plunge in and start the new year off in a wet way. On this New Year's Day, the water temperature is expected to be in the low 40s -- about 20 degrees warmer than the air temperature.
