Country music fans rejoice, Luke Bryan to headline the Marcus Amphitheater on July 7

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. officials are excited to announce the third headlining show of Summerfest 2016.  Luke Bryan will headline the Marcus Amphitheater on Thursday, July 7 with special guest Frankie Ballard.

CMA’s 2015 Entertainer of the Year, Luke Bryan, is a country music superstar who puts everything he has into each dynamic performance.  His latest album, Kill the Lights, made a wildly successful debut in 2015, scoring a number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart with 320,000 album sales in the first week. On the heels of his Kill the Lights Tour, Luke Bryan promises to bring all his award-winning energy to the stage at the Marcus Amphitheater.  Joining him for this special performance is Frankie Ballard, one of the genre’s most nuanced singers and writers.  Ballard’s long road history and wide musical taste add substance to his unique and energetic stage shows.

Tickets for Luke Bryan's show go on sale Friday, January 15 at 10:00 am CST and include Summerfest admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Summerfest Box Office in person and by phone at 1-414-273-2600, Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, Walmart stores, online at Ticketmaster.com and by phone at 1.800.745.3000 (live Ticketmaster agent) or 1-866-448-7849 (“Ticketmaster Express” automated phone line).  Patrons may also utilize “ticketfast” at Ticketmaster.com to print barcoded concert tickets from home.  Convenience fees may be added to all purchases.

A special presale will be offered to Citi card members beginning Wednesday, January 13 at 10:00 a.m. until Thursday, January 14 at 10:00 p.m.  Card members will use the first six digits of their Citi credit card to access the presale.

Summerfest fans can also gain access to “Stay Connected” presales before tickets go on sale to the general public when they subscribe to receive Summerfest News email alerts at Summerfest.com, “Like” Summerfest on Facebook or follow Summerfest on Twitter.  The Luke Bryan Summerfest presale will run Thursday, January 14 from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm CST or until presale inventory has been exhausted.

Summerfest 2016 will take place June 29 – July 3 and July 5 – July 10 from noon until midnight and will be closed Monday, July 4.
