KENOSHA -- Kenosha police are investigating a suspicious death of a 34-year-old woman. Her body was found in an alley near 13th Avenue and 31st Street in Kenosha Saturday morning, January 16th.
Authorities say the woman was discovered by a business owner going to work shortly after 8:00 a.m.
The victim is believed to be a 34-year-old Kenosha County woman. Her identity is not being released at this time.
Police are not calling this a homicide, but are saying it is suspicious.
"There are no outward signs of cause of death. So at this point, I think the autopsy is going to be Monday in Milwaukee, and hopefully that will determine the cause of death. How and why she was in this alley is what really makes it suspicious," said Kenosha Police Chief John Morrissey.
There are still many unknowns in regards to this incident.
Kenosha police are asking anyone who believes they have information in regards to this investigation to contact Kenosha Crimestoppers at 1-800-807-TIPS.
