WEST ALLIS — Wisconsin State Fair officials announced two more musical acts for the 2016 run — hard rock band Halestorm will take the Main Stage Friday, August 5th and country pop band Rascal Flatts will play Saturday, August 6th.
Halestorm began in the late 90s, and debuted their first full-length studio album, “Halestorm,” in 2009, followed by “The Covers” in 2011. The Covers featured their take on songs by Heart, Guns N’ Roses and Lady Gaga. Halestorm won their first Grammy Award in 2013 for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance of their single “Love Bites (So Do I).” Halestorm is well known for their non-stop touring, performing as many as 250 shows each year.
Hard rock/metal band We Are Harlot, will open the show at 8:00 p.m., ahead of Halestorm. The group has made a name for itself in only a few short years, drawing inspiration from 80s greats like Van Halen, Aerosmith and Def Leppard. The group’s eponymous, debut album was released in the spring of 2015.
Tickets for Halestorm with We Are Harlot will be $39 and $29.
