Rascal Flatts, Halestorm to take the stage at 2016 Wisconsin State Fair

WEST ALLIS -- Wisconsin State Fair officials announced two more musical acts for the 2016 run -- hard rock band Halestorm will take the Main Stage Friday, August 5th and country pop band Rascal Flatts will play Saturday, August 6th.

Halestorm began in the late 90s, and debuted their first full-length studio album, "Halestorm," in 2009, followed by "The Covers" in 2011. The Covers featured their take on songs by Heart, Guns N' Roses and Lady Gaga. Halestorm won their first Grammy Award in 2013 for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance of their single “Love Bites (So Do I)." Halestorm is well known for their non-stop touring, performing as many as 250 shows each year.

Hard rock/metal band We Are Harlot, will open the show at 8:00 p.m., ahead of Halestorm. The group has made a name for itself in only a few short years, drawing inspiration from 80s greats like Van Halen, Aerosmith and Def Leppard.  The group's eponymous, debut album was released in the spring of 2015.

Tickets for Halestorm with We Are Harlot will be $39 and $29.

Rascal Flatts has sold more than 22.5 million albums, 28 million digital downloads and delivered 15 No. 1 singles to the top of the charts. They are the most awarded country music group of the past decade, earning more than 40 trophies from the ACAs, ACMs, AMAs, CMAs, People’s Choice Awards and more. The groups long list of hits include "These Days, "Bless the Broken Road," "What Hurts The Most," and "My Wish," among countless others. Rascal Flatts has performed with some of this generation's greatest country artists, including Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean.

Kelsea Ballerini will open the show at 8:00 p.m., ahead of Rascal Flatts. While her breakout hit, "Love Me Like You Mean It," gave country music lovers a taste of Ballerini’s talent, her latest hit, “Dibs” has already climbed to No. 13 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs. She also recently made her Grand Ole Opry debut and is co-headlining CMT’s inaugural “Next Women of Country” Tour.”

Tickets for Rascal Flatts with Kelsea Ballerini will be $49 and $39.

Both shows go on sale Friday, February 5th at 9:00 a.m. at WisStateFair.com and the Fair Ticket Office. All track level tickets for both shows will be general admission, with reserved seating beginning in the grandstand.  The Ticket Office is located at 7722 W. Greenfield Ave. and is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Service fees apply to all online orders and purchasers will have print-at-home or mail-order options.

The 2016 Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U.S. Cellular, will take place Thursday, August 4 – Sunday, August 14.
